How do Online Statements work?
Instead of receiving bank statements by mail, you can elect to receive them online in electronic format. Online Statements look just like the paper statements you currently receive in the mail and will include images of your paid checks. Related statement information, such as the back of the statement, Sterling Privacy Policy, Rules and Regulations, and the Online Statement Disclosure can be accessed by following the link provided at the top of the Statement Manager screen.

Who can sign up for Online Statements?
All Business Net Banking customers who have a checking, savings, money market or CD account are eligible to receive Online Statements.

Are all statements available online or just the statement for checking accounts?
All checking, savings, money market and CD accounts that appear in Business Net Banking can have statements delivered online. Loan accounts are not supported at this time.

What if I have a personal line of credit, will that statement show up online?
If your personal line of credit statement is currently combined with your personal checking account statement; the combined statement can be delivered online. However, we will continue to mail you a separate line of credit statement to ensure you have an appropriate MICR encoded coupon with which to make your payment should you need it.

When will I receive my statements?
Online Statements will be available at the same frequency as your mailed paper statements, only now you’ll be able to view them within 3 business days of the cycle date.

Can I receive both an Online Statement and a paper statement?
Online Statements become active after paper statements are suppressed. Once paper statements suppression is elected and Online Statements become available, paper statements will no longer be generated and mailed to your place of business. The exception is in the event a personal line of credit statement discussed above, which will be mailed out in paper format to ensure customers receive a coupon with which they can conveniently make their payment.

I currently receive images of cleared checks with my paper statement. Will check images also be available with Online Statement?
Yes, check images are included as part of Sterling’s online statement service.

Is any special software needed to view or print Online Statements?
To view Online Statements, Adobe Acrobat Reader® is required - the recommended version is 7.0. Adobe Acrobat Reader is available to download within Sterling’s Online Statements service.

Are there any fees to receive Online Statements?
No, Online Statements are provided at no additional charge to all Sterling Business Net Banking customers.

How long are Online Statements available for viewing?
Up to 18 months of statement history is available online. If you wish to retain more than 18 months of statement history you may open and print or save each statement (a PDF image of the paper statement) to a location of your choosing.

How do I request Online Statements?
It’s easy to request the security and convenience of Online Statements, Company Administrators can submit a Suppress Paper Statements request from the Online Services drop-down menu.

Can I control who has access to my Online Statements?
Yes. Initially, Online Statements will only be available to the Company Administrator. Company Administrators can designate which users can access the Online Statements for each available account.

How do I access Online Statements in Business Net Banking once paper statements are suppressed?
Online Statements are accessed through the newly named Report and Statements tab by choosing Statement Manager from the drop-down menu.

When will Online Statements be available?
Online Statements will be available and paper statements suppressed for the designated accounts within 2 business days upon completing and submitting the Suppress Paper Statements requests. Once available to a user, the Balance Reporting tab will change to read Reporting and Statements. Ongoing, new statements are automatically available online within 3 business days of the cycle date for designated accounts.
