Community Development>CRA Grant Instructions
Sterling Savings Bank invites non-profit organizations to apply for CRA grants, on an on-going basis, limited to the following purposes:
- Promote and provide affordable housing for low and moderate-income families.
- Provide financial education for low and moderate-income families.
- Promote and provide resources for the development of small business, including micro lending.
Please remember that Sterling Savings Bank considers capital campaigns a low priority. Grant funds are reserved primarily for those areas where Sterling has its offices and employees located. No donations are given to organizations that discriminate.
Please keep your giving proposal to no more than 4 pages in length. However, be sure to include:
- Proposal summary (one paragraph)
- Mission of the organization
- A brief history of the organization
- Project description
- List Sterling employees involved in your organization
- Goals, objectives and timeline
- Expected quantifiable outcomes or results
- Evaluation methods used to measure result
- Name, address and phone number
- List of your organization’s board members (if appropriate)
- Copy of your IRS exemption letter
- Most recent income and expense, financial statements
- Project budget
Please deliver the completed application to your local Sterling Savings Bank branch manager for delivery to Sterling’s CRA Department. Please allow up to 45 days for a response to your application.
