Why would I want to use this service?
Sterling Savings Bank has partnered with Travelex Currency Services, Inc. to provide convenient, online access to foreign currency. Over 70 foreign currencies with others available through special orders. The currency order is delivered to your residence or place of business anywhere in the U.S. and must be signed for prior to the order being released from the delivery person.

How complicated is this to use?
Ordering is secure, fast and easy, and you can place your order at any time by simply using your personal PC. Sterling Savings Bank has placed a link to the Travelex My Travel Wallet service on our website under our Personal International Services section. Foreign currency can be ordered simply by clicking on this My Travel Wallet link, and then following the 4 steps to complete the order. Placing your order takes just a few minutes and delivery is either the next business day or two business days later (depending upon the time of day ordered).

Is there a minimum amount currency I need to order?
Currency orders just need to be between $200.00 and $1500.00.

How do I pay for ordering my foreign currency?
A credit card (MasterCard® or VISA®) or Sterling Check Card. Payment by a credit card may be treated as a cash advance. Check with your credit card issuer to determine how they will handle this type of transaction. Sterling Check Card transactions will be treated as an account withdrawal, so there will not be a cash advance fee incurred.

How secure is my transaction?
Travelex uses sophisticated measures to protect your information. Security measures are constantly reviewed and are enhanced as new technology emerges. Currently, Travelex uses a combination of firewalls, Secure Socket Layers (SSL), and other security techniques to make sure that your transaction is secured. All customer information is stored offline and is not available to any one on the internet.

Why are the rates different from the newspaper?
The rates quoted in the newspaper are usually “spot rates” available on amounts of $1 million or more and are usually between banks. They are not a true reflection of the rates that an average customer can secure.

How soon can I get my order?
  • Orders received before 3pm Eastern Time, are processed the same day they are received.
  • Orders received after 3pm Eastern Time, are processed the next business day.
  • Orders that are marked for next day shipping, will be delivered by 3pm the next business day following processing.
  • Orders marked for second day shipping, will be by 4pm on the second business day following processing.
Note: Orders will not be delivered to a post office (PO) box.
