Mutual Funds
Mutual Funds are professionally managed pools of securities with specific investment objectives to help meet your financial goals. Mutual fund choices include domestic U.S. stocks and bonds, global funds, and international funds.
There are a wide variety of mutual funds to choose from. Here's a list of basic mutual funds available to investors:
- Growth Funds - portfolio of stocks with the objective of long-term capital appreciation.
- Growth and Income Funds - portfolio of growth stocks with the objective of capital appreciation and income as a secondary objective.
- Bond Funds - seek income through a portfolio of U.S. Government bonds or corporate bonds with preservation of capital as an objective.
- Tax Exempt Bond Funds - portfolio of municipal bonds that produces income which is exempt from federal taxes* and is consistent with the preservation of capital. Tax exempt funds are also available for states with income tax.
