Vice President
Mark Satern joined INTERVEST as Vice President in 2006 as part of the commercial loan production team for Arizona and the Southwest.
Mark has been active in Arizona commercial real estate since 1973.
His origination, underwriting and placement experience includes construction lending, permanent loan placements, structured finance and equity placements.
After his release from the USAF, Satern began his career as a loan officer for several regional mortgage companies.
Most prominently, he was one of the founding members of the Arizona office of The Abacus Group.
During the period of the late 1970s and early 1980s, Abacus grew to become one of the most active and well known direct lenders and mortgage bankers in the Phoenix metro area.
In late 1982 Mark left Abacus to create Satern Financial Services, which he operated successfully until the real estate recession of early 1990s.
Satern Financial focused upon placing both permanent commercial debt and equities with many of the nation’s largest institutional lender/investors.
Subsequently, Mark took a position with Bank One Capital Markets, a subsidiary of Bank One, there underwriting mezzanine facilities for both large commercial projects and single family subdivision developments.
Mark graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in real estate and has been a licensed real estate broker in Arizona since 1975.
